Statewide health care information
A bill creating the
mechanism for statewide health care for public school
employees is working its way through the General
Assembly.
The House Education
Committee in January overwhelmingly voted in favor of
the bill, which is now awaiting action by the full
House.
PSEA members on the Board
of Directors and the House of Delegates are on record in
support of HB 1841 in its current form.
If enacted, it would ensure
that public school employees and their families – PSEA
and other union members – have affordable, quality
health care in an era of steeply rising health care
costs.
